Starting a new venture is always an emotional rollercoaster; there's the highs of hope and expectation, the wonder of discovery and creativity, but of course, there's nervousness and doubt. Who will watch my content? Is there anyone out there for me? Honestly, I think those are fair concerns, and they're ones everyone has. But the simple truth is, I'll never know what lies ahead, what opportunities are possible, and what fate has in store until I test it. I'm lucky to be in a place in my life where I can dedicate time and effort to pursuing my hobbies with fervor and passion, and I live in a day and age where I don't have to do that all in a vacuum, there are millions of people out there seeking the same kind of human connection and interest that I am. So if you're one of those people, welcome and stay awhile.

So what should you expect? Well, if you're reading this, the first blog I've written for this, two days before my first stream, you probably should expect change, flexibility, and easing into this new role. But most of all, you should expect a friend. When I look into the void that is the internet, there's never an oversaturation of people who just want to increase the global kindness of the world, and it's my most lofty ambition to be one of those people. I won't be perfect, and you'll hear me mutter the phrase "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good" so often that I might as well make it my official catchphrase.

I plan to document as much of this journey as I can. From using all social media, to videos, vlogs, and blogs, I hope to capture... well, ideally some level of celebrity or success, but if not, then the journey. Even if I don't end up being one of those who propels themselves to heights unknown and unpredicted, I won't regret trying.

This week I start my first stream with Warhammer 40k's Boltgun. It's a retro doom-style shooter all about taking on the evil bobs and ends from the chaos warp. You don't need to know everything or anything about 40k. I'll speak on it as we go, and I'm certainly not a hard authority, I'm just learning myself. On Thursday, I'll be painting Minis from my Gloomspite Gitz army. For those of you interested in Mini painting, I'll do my best to show my skills, for everyone else, drop by and say hello anyway! So off to a Day one, one of many Day ones in my life and not the last.
